We\u2019re going to focus on Google, because approximately\u00a070% of all Internet search and research is done using\u00a0it nowadays. Apologies to Bing, Yahoo!, Dogpile, etc.,\u00a0but that\u2019s that. To paraphrase the wise-but-sometimes upstart\u00a0comic strip hero, Calvin (of Calvin & Hobbes),\u00a0when a noun becomes a verb, you know you\u2019ve made it\u2026big time. Thus is Google.<\/p>\n
Google Juice is the value that Google assigns to each element in your\u00a0website that helps position or list it on the various search engines.\u00a0The more Google Juice your site contains, the higher Google (and\u00a0probably the other sites) ranks it. Higher ranking usually means more\u00a0hits. More hits generally garner more business.\u00a0So the more drafts of Google Juice your site quaffs, the better its\u00a0chances of organically landing on the first page whenever someone\u00a0searches for your company name, products and\/or services on the\u00a0ubiquitous search engine. Google Juice is the elixir of Internet success.\u00a0Would you believe there are businesses in Jacksonville that are\u00a0paying tens of thousands of dollars each month to Google? Wouldn\u2019t\u00a0it be better for you to optimize your site for better search engine\u00a0rankings\u2014rather than paying Google? Better still \u2026 why not invest\u00a0this critical task to an experienced firm that can assure your site is\u00a0overflowing with the Juice du Google?<\/p>\n

\nOur text-intensive world is inundated with acronyms. Since its\u00a0inception in the U.S. military, the Internet, like its creator, has its own\u00a0lexicon of these initial-based buzzwords. Some are more important\u00a0to know and understand than others. One acronym no website can\u00a0ignore is SEO = Search Engine Optimization.\u00a0SEO is a reality and a process. It\u2019s the art of bringing your website\u00a0higher on the search engines, ideally without paying Google. Fact\u00a0of the matter is:You must adhere to this search engine\u2019s parameters\u00a0when you implement SEO. After all, Google rules the World Wide\u00a0Web; hence you must follow Google\u2019s rules.<\/p>\n
\nIf you employ SEO techniques Google doesn\u2019t approve of, it will\u00a0simply delist your website entirely. Your site is G-O-N-E.\u00a0Page Not Found. For real! My firm once worked with a\u00a0national company that came to us after its site was delisted. It can\u00a0happen to any business, entity, or individual. The lesson, then, is clear:\u00a0When in doubt, or if you don\u2019t have an IT staff that is SEO\/Google\u00a0Juice savvy, hire a professional to manage your website\u2019s SEO properly.\u00a0This isn\u2019t a perfect world; that\u2019s true for our real lives as well as the\u00a0web\u2019s virtual reality. So wouldn\u2019t you know it, Google is constantly\u00a0changing the way it ranks websites. (Pardon the pun, but you don\u2019t\u00a0want your website to be rank.) Nor is Google inclined to reveal what\u00a0it is currently doing with its search results. And Google continues\u00a0to widen its influence across cyberspace. So now, having your\u00a0website linked via the other websites Google now owns has become\u00a0increasingly important as well\u2014YouTube, Google Places (maps), and\u00a0Google + (Google\u2019s answer to Facebook). To be sighted, ideally your\u00a0primary website is linked through a multiplicity of sites.\u00a0Next issue, we\u2019ll roll up our pants and stomp on the grapes that will\u00a0bring SEO to fruition on your site. We\u2019ll discuss specific elements\u00a0your website needs to maximize its SEO. And we\u2019ll provide specific examples to help you determine if your own site is satiated with\u00a0that oh-so essential Google Juice. That way, your website can obtain\u00a0the high ranking that every entity seeks on Google. Having ample\u00a0quantities will increase the \u201cjuiciness\u201d of your website, so the search\u00a0engines will drink it in.<\/p>\n
